time of application and their thesis must be concerned with a topic in
the area of PLLT.
Focus: Psychology of Language Learning and Teaching
Description:
The IAPLL Doctoral School offers PhD candidates who do research in the
field of Psychology of Language Learning and Teaching (PLLT) the
opportunity to present their PhD research progress among other PLLT
students and researchers and receive valuable feedback from peers and
experts in the field. It will enable participants to network with
other doctoral students, post-docs, and researchers and further
develop their research skills by participating in workshops focusing
on research methods and career progression in academia. Participants
will also be offered the chance to engage in one-to-one consultancy
sessions with experienced researchers from the field to receive more
individually tailored feedback on their doctoral research. In addition
to the academic activities, social events such as attending Christmas
markets and a drinks reception are planned. The plenary speakers at
the IAPLL Doctoral School are Kata Csizér (Eötvös Loránd University),
Ulla Fürstenberg (University of Graz), and Nathan Thomas (University
College London). Additionally, workshops will be conducted by Elouise
Botes (University of Luxemburg), Pia Resnik (University College of
Teacher Education Vienna/Lower Austria, University of Vienna), Sarah
Mercer, Hassan Khajavy, and Dávid Smid (University of Graz) and
one-to-one consultancy sessions will be offered by all invited
experts.

Participants will be asked to submit an abstract (max. 200 words),
letter of motivation (max. 350 words), evidence that they are enrolled
in a doctoral programme, and their CV.
