Paradigm welcomes John Benjamins eBooks to its partner program
Esteemed linguistics publisher’s eBooks will be sold by Paradigm
alongside De Gruyter Mouton and Multilingual Matters
Boston/Warsaw/London - 17/03/2025 - Paradigm Publishing Services, a
division of De Gruyter Brill, welcomes John Benjamins to its
consortium of university and smaller specialized presses that form the
partner program. Under this agreement, John Benjamins’s titles will be
sold in the University Press Library collection alongside well-known
brands like Mouton De Gruyter and Multilingual Matters, ensuring
premier offerings in linguistics from Paradigm to academic libraries
everywhere in the world.
“Our commitment to diversity in academic content is reinforced by
partnerships like the one with John Benjamins, which bring a wealth of
specialized knowledge and linguistic expertise to our platform,” said
Steve Fallon, Managing Director of Paradigm.
John Benjamins, a family-owned business founded in the 1970s in the
Netherlands, is firmly rooted in every imaginable subfield of
Linguistics and Language Studies. In the past decades, the publisher
has built a significant list of titles as well as electronic reference
works. Currently, the house produces 80-100 new titles a year. In
addition to distributing their frontlist titles, Paradigm will also
distribute John Benjamins’ backlist of well-over 4,200 titles.
“As an independent academic publisher, we are excited to join other
mission-driven presses as part of Paradigm’s Partner platform,” said
Seline Benjamins, Managing Director, John Benjamins. “Our distribution
agreement with Paradigm helps to expand our global reach and the
discoverability of our eBook titles. It fits perfectly in our strategy
to make sure a wide range of options is available for our customers to
acquire our publications.”
