The satellite workshop Crowd-sourced Linguistic Data Collection and
Augmentation (in French, Science Participative pour les Données et
Corpus Linguistiques - ParCoL) aims to gather the research community
around how participative science can be used in #linguistics. The
relevant topics include, but are not limited to:
 • the creation or functioning of participative tools (data collection
platforms, games with a purpose, etc.) dedicated to languages,
 • the technical challenges of data or metadata collection platforms,
 • ethical issues raised by the creation or use of crowd-sourced
corpora,
 • the participants' engagement (motivations, nudges,
gamification...),
 • participative science for less-resourced languages,
 • participative science for the exploration of orality and diversity
of usages,
 • theoretical challenges of crowd-sourced data and metadata,
 • political or legal challenges of crowd-sourced data and metadata,
 • research results on crowd-sourced data, in any linguistic domain,
Submissions can be made under 3 different formats:
 - abstract (2 pages + references) : summarized translation of a paper
that has already been published, negative results, statement,
description of a project;
 - short paper (8 pages + references) : preliminary results or
literature review;
 - long paper (16 pages + references) : full scientific paper.

Accepted languages are #French and #English.
