The PAAL International Conference is the annual gathering of the
Pan-Pacific Association of Applied Linguistics, a global community of
researchers dedicated to applied linguistics and related fields in
Asian and Pan-Asian contexts. The conference was originally
established as a collaboration between PAAL Japan and PAAL Korea, with
the hosting alternating between these two groups of researchers. Over
the years, our conference has grown in scope, attracting researchers
and practitioners from around the world.
The Pan-Pacific Association of Applied Linguistics welcomes abstract
submissions in all areas of applied linguistics (broadly defined),
including but not limited to the following topics. We particularly
encourage submissions that align with this year's theme, “The Evolving
and Changing Status of English in the World.”
For more information on themes, please visit the official conference
website.
