Description:
At the Institute of English and American Studies, Faculty of
Humanities and Cultural Sciences, University of Kassel, we are seeking
to fill the following position:
Research Assistant (m/f/d) (part-time, 50%)
Reference number: 38389
The position is initially limited to three years, with the possibility
of extension for an additional two years. The position offers the
opportunity to pursue a doctoral degree (PhD).
Responsibilities:
 - Academic support in research and teaching in the field of English
Linguistics
 - Independent research on a topic within cognitive and evidence-based
or experimental linguistics
 - Conducting courses in English Linguistics and General Linguistics
according to the teaching obligation
 - Participation in administrative and organizational tasks within the
department
Requirements:
 - Completed academic degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in
Linguistics, English Studies, German Studies, or a related field
 - Interest in cognitive-linguistic and experimental approaches
 - Willingness to engage with interdisciplinary topics (e.g.,
sustainability, gender research, AI)
