International Symposium of Indoamerican Phonology (SINFONIA I)
The symposium will take place in The Autonomous University of
Querétaro, México on October 23 and 24.

Esther Herrera-El Colegio de México
Francisco Arellanes-IIF, UNAM
The goal of SInFonIA is to convene a group of specialists and students
to discuss the phonological properties of Indomexican languages.
SInFonIA I is dedicated to the phonetics and phonology of glottals. We
invite abstracts for oral presentations, each lasting 20 minutes,
followed by 10 minutes for discussion. Abstracts on any topic
concerning the phonology of Indomexican languages are welcome;
however, we strongly encourage submissions that explore phenomena
related to glottals and glottalization, encompassing both phonetic and
phonological analyses.
The deadline submission is June 20 11:59 (Mexico City time). Proposals
must contain:
Title
The extension of the abstracts should not exceed 2 pages (References
and examples included)
Abstracts can be submitted to: spafmex at gmail.com with the subject:
Propuesta para Sinfonia 2025”. The body text must contain Author and
affiliation.
Deadline submission: June 20 11:59(Mexico City time)
Response: July 25
