Subject: SEMANTICS VS PRAGMATICS

The paper is a description of both fields and how they interact in
discourse; their usage and use, plus the misuse of the term SEMANTICS
when it is actually PRAGMATICS at play.
One of my best and most admired friends, former and now retired
professor of Linguistics at the. University of London expressed
disagreements with my specific thesis. As a result of that I decided
to turn to other experts in the pertinent fields for their
opinions; in other words , do they agree or disagree with my views?
Why? or Why not? and any suggestions. Thank you!
