About GLOTECH 2025
The conference will focus on topics such as the integration of
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and other technologies in language
teaching and translation. Topics of interest on Language Learning and
Technology, and Translation and Technology include, but are not
limited to:
- AI, AR, and VR in language learning
- Gamification and immersive learning environments
- Online and adaptive learning tools
- Advances in AI-assisted translation
- Machine learning and multilingual communication
- AI tools in language acquisition
- Data-driven language learning
- Personalization and automation in education
- Mobile-Assisted Language Learning (MALL)
- Ethical implications of AI in teaching and translation
- Bias and fairness in AI-based language tools
- Privacy, data protection, and transparency in educational
technology
- The role of institutions and industry in language technology
- Funding and innovation in digital education
- AI regulation and policy in language education and translation
Call for Papers:
We invite you to submit proposals for 20-minute oral presentations
(plus 10 minutes for Q&A). Proposals should include an abstract of
300-400 words and a short biography of the author (maximum 50 words).
Presentations can be made in English or Spanish. The deadline for
submitting proposals is 18th July 2025.
Participation Fees:
Early Bird Fee (until 5th September 2025): 150 Euros
Regular Fee (until 19th September 2025): 180 Euros
Attendance is free but those who require a certificate of attendance
will need to pay a fee of 50 Euros.
Conference publications:
After the conference, authors may submit their written papers to
dl2 at ua.es by December 20th, 2025 for publication. A selection of the
submissions received will be considered for inclusion in a monographic
volume published by Peter Lang or in a special issue of the Alicante
Journal of English Studies.
