The Southeast Asian Linguistics Society (SEALS) invites scholars to
submit abstracts for the 35th Annual Meeting of the Southeast Asian
Linguistics Society (SEALS 35), to be held at Nanyang Technological
University (NTU), Singapore, from 3 - 5 June 2026. The conference will
be in the form of a hybrid event, although we strongly encourage
in-person participation.
SEALS 35 welcomes contributions addressing linguistic issues related
to languages spoken in Southeast Asia, particularly those from the
following language families: Austronesian, Austroasiatic,
Kra-Dai/Tai-Kadai, Hmong-Mien/Miao-Yao, and Sino-Tibetan. Possible
topics include, but are not limited to: Phonetics and phonology,
Morphosyntax, Semantics and pragmatics, Historical-comparative
studies, Language endangerment, documentation and revitalization,
Genetic and areal relationships, Discourse analysis, Sociolinguistic
studies, Psycholinguistics.
Abstracts must be written in English and submitted in PDF format.
Please adhere to the maximum of 1 single-authored submission per
author, with no limit on the number of co-authored abstracts.
    i.   Title: Clear and informative.
    ii.  Length: Abstracts must be no longer than one A4 page (min.
11pt font), with an additional page for examples, tables, and
references.
   iii.  Anonymity: Abstracts must be fully anonymous. Authors' names,
affiliations, or pictures should not be indicated anywhere in the
document.
