Description:

The candidate must have an MA in English Linguistics or an equivalent
degree (e.g., in General Linguistics; Psycholinguistics). The position
involves work towards a PhD in English Linguistics, participation in
the department’s research activities, and a teaching load of one class
per semester. The language of instruction is English (knowledge of
German is not a prerequisite).
The candidate should have some experience in using methods of corpus
linguistics and/or psycholinguistics and a background in the
usage-based approach.
Ideally, the position is to be filled by April 1, 2026. Full
consideration will be given to applications received by January 9th,
2026; but later applications will be considered until the position is
filled. Interviews will be held (via Zoom) in January and/or February.
