The Department of English at the University of Wisconsin-Madison
invites applications for the PhD Program in English Language &
Linguistics

We are seeking motivated students who want to contribute to the
understanding of the structure, development, use, processing, and
acquisition of the English language.
The English Language & Linguistics (ELL) program provides students
with a solid foundation in theoretical and applied English linguistics
as well as training in quantitative research methods such as
corpus-based and experimental methodologies.

years of financial support in the form of teaching/research/project
