The JALT TBL SIG is proud to sponsor the 6th “Task-Based Language
Teaching in Asia” conference, to be held from June 5-7, 2026, at
Waseda University in Tokyo, Japan. The conference will provide a space
to facilitate discussion of issues related to task-based language
teaching, particularly in Asian contexts, but is open to teachers and
researchers from around the world.
We welcome presentation proposals discussing, but not limited to:
 - Teachers and teacher training
 - Use of technology for effective language learning
 - Language learner interaction
 - TBLT with young learners
 - TBLT with large classes
 - Use of the first language
 - Assessing learners
 - Input and output tasks
 - Learners’ affective factors and TBLT
 - Group dynamics in TBLT classrooms
 - Materials design
 - Planning a course
 - TBLT and CLIL/EMI
 - Future directions for TBLT
 - Artificial Intelligence and TBLT
