Journal of Applied Languages and Linguistics invites submissions for a
special issue on Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) in Language
Education.
​Submissions are now open
Submission deadline: May 30th, 2026
Estimated publication date: June 30th, 2026
We seek contributions that explore how language teaching, learning,
and assessment intersect with issues of equity, diversity, and
inclusion. Suggested topics include, but are not limited to:
 - Language, identity, and migration
 - Gender, sexuality, and language learning
 - Inclusive curriculum design and pedagogical strategies
 - Multilingualism and translanguaging in educational settings
 - Accessibility and accommodations for learners with diverse needs
 - Policy, advocacy, and social justice in language education
This special issue aims to provide a platform for research and
reflections that foster more inclusive, equitable, and socially aware
language education practices worldwide.
Submission Guidelines:
Manuscripts should follow the journal’s style and formatting
guidelines

Both empirical and conceptual studies are welcome.
