Neurolinguistics in Sweden (NLS) is happy to announce its second
conference and calls for the submission of abstracts for presentation.
NLS is a network of researchers investigating language in the brain.
The aim of the network is to promote research within the broad field
of neurolinguistics in Sweden and neighboring countries. NLS 2026 will
be hosted by Stockholm University through a collaboration between the
Departments of Linguistics, Psychology, and Swedish Language and
Multilingualism, and the Stockholm University Brain Imaging Centre
(SUBIC).
We are proud to announce that the 2026 keynote speakers will be:
 - Professor Giosuè Baggio (Norwegian University of Science and
Technology, Norway)
 - Assistant Professor Esti Blanco-Elorrieta (New York University,
USA)
 - Associate Professor Leonardo Fernandino (Medical College of
Wisconsin, USA).
Location and Attendance:
The 2026 conference will take place at Stockholm University in
Stockholm, Sweden. There will be no attendance fee. The conference

Important Dates:
October 2025: First call for abstracts
6 February 2026 at 11:59 pm (CET): Abstract submission deadline
1 April 2026: Notification of acceptance
19 April 2026: Registration deadline
11–12 June 2026: NLS2026 conference
Submissions:
The organizing committee invites researchers to submit an abstract for
presentation at Neuro- linguistics in Sweden 2026. It is possible to
specify a preference for either a talk or poster presentation but
final decisions will be made by the organizing committee. The
conference language is English and all presentations are to be made in
English. Submissions should be within the field of neurolinguistics.
Contributions from related fields such as psycholinguistics, cognitive
neuroscience, phonetics, audiology and language pathology are also
welcome if the overall scope is the cognitive neuroscience of
language.
We use OpenReview for abstract submission and review. Submissions will
be double blind: reviewers cannot see author names when conducting
reviews, and authors cannot see reviewer names. Please make sure that
documents are anonymized before uploading them.

Abstracts are to be submitted no later than 6 February 2026 11.59 pm
(CET). Submissions are expected to include (preliminary) results and
will be reviewed based on their novelty, substance and relevance for
the conference.
