Abstracts should be sent to acapone at unime.it and to the
workshops/panels organizers by January 30th, 2026 (the sooner, the
better).
Themes and Topics – Pragmatics and Philosophy:
This conference explores the intersection of pragmatics and
philosophy, focusing on the practical applications of pragmatic
theories in fields such as legal interpretation, clinical assessment
of language disorders, and intercultural communication. The goal is to
facilitate dialogue between different approaches and theories while
exploring social challenges across various disciplines.
Panel on Clinical Pragmatics:
As part of the conference program, there will be a panel devoted to
Clinical Pragmatics, organized by Louise Cummings. Scholars working in
this field are encouraged to submit an abstract for consideration.
Abstracts should be sent directly to l.cummings at yorksj.ac.uk.
Submissions will be reviewed by Louise Cummings.
Panel on Cultural Pragmatics and Pragmemes:
The conference program will feature a panel dedicated to Cultural
Pragmatics and Pragmemes, organized by Chusni Hadiati, J and
Alessandro Capone. Scholars working in this field are warmly invited
to submit an abstract for consideration. Abstracts should be sent
directly to acapone at unime.it Submissions will be reviewed by the panel
organizers.
Panel on Evolutionary Pragmatics:
A portion of the conference will be devoted to a panel on Evolutionary
Pragmatics, organized by Mitchell Green. Scholars with interests in
this area are warmly invited to submit an abstract for consideration.

Panel on Pragmatics and Philosophy in Japanese:
The conference program will feature a panel on Japanese Linguistics
and Pragmatics, organized by Yoko Mizuta.Researchers interested in
these topics are invited to submit an abstract for consideration.

ymizuta123 at gmail.com.
Panel on Rhetoric, Pragmatics, and Argumentation Theory:
This conference will include a special panel focusing on Rhetoric,
Pragmatics, and Argumentation Theory, organized by Fabrizio Macagno.
Scholars and researchers working in these or related areas are invited
to submit an abstract for consideration. Abstracts should be sent to
