Translation and Interpreting: Research and Opportunities
Call Deadline: 15-Nov-2025

The great advances achieved in recent years in artificial intelligence
(AI) have made it possible to respond to the great challenges that
have been posed in the field of education, especially in the field of
Translation and Interpreting. In the realm of Public Services
Interpreting and Translation, the past decade has seen a growing use
of innovative applications and digital tools, enabling access to
training resources and fostering the development of essential skills
that must be reinforced during the training stages of aspiring
interpreters. However, the full potential of these AI-driven tools for
the field of Translation and Interpreting, particularly within the
public services sector, remains to be fully explored.
The aim of this issue of the international scientific journal FITISPos
is to present research results on the use of AI tools both in the
professional stages and in the training context of the Public Service
context, sharing innovative practices and ideas that could be
considered in the training of future professionals.
The editors welcome original contributions for the field of Public
Service Interpreting of up to 7,000 words in English or Spanish,
prepared according to the guidelines available at
https://fitisposij.web.uah.es/OJS/index.php/fitispos/about/submissions.

cover the following topics:

technologies, along with the difficulties they present.
 - Managing interpreters’ stress with AI tools.
