Subject: Take Part in Focus Groups about Teaching and Learning Syntax
The SynTeach team (Laura Bailey, Bronwyn Bjorkman, Caitl Light, Kirby
Conrod) is getting ready for our next phase of research on how syntax
is taught in higher ed. Our next phase will be focus group interviews,
where we want to get together people with experience teaching and
learning syntax.
We’re hoping to gather people with a variety of experiences, so
whether you loved or hated syntax, we’d really like to hear from you!
This link is to an interest form – if you’d like us to contact you
when we start the interviews, you can let us know here. Please also
feel free to share with anyone you know who has taken or taught
syntax. Filling out this form is not a commitment, it’s just a way of
letting us know you might be interested!

We've already started our interviews, and we’ll continue through the
fall and winter. (If we can, we’ll also see about trying to coordinate
group interviews at conferences we’re attending in fall/winter, so
keep an eye out for that as well.)
