Description:
The successful candidate will be entrusted with the following tasks:
- active and independent research in one or more subfields of general
linguistics
- research specializations should include one or more of the following
subfields: typology, research on one or more languages spoken outside
of Europe, language documentation, research on spoken language
- study program coordination
- active efforts to secure third-party funding
- supporting role in department management
- teaching load: 4 hours per week/semester in various subfields of
general linguistics
Requirements:
- a completed doctorate in general linguistics or a related discipline
- independent and innovative research activities in typology and/or
language documentation or related areas
- excellent management and communication skills
- ideally, teaching experience
The successful candidate will have the opportunity for further
academic qualification (Habilitation).

The position is at first limited to three years, with the possibility
of extension by another three years.
