We are pleased to invite you to participate in the 1st DL2
International Workshop, which will be held in hybrid format on 3rd and
4th December 2026 at the University of Alicante and online. We kindly
ask you to distribute this invitation among your colleagues and staff.
This workshop, organised by the Digital Language Learning (DL2)
research group at the University of Alicante, aims to provide a forum
for discussing theoretical, methodological, and practical advancements
in technology-enhanced language learning and translation.
Areas of Interest:
The workshop will focus on topics such as the integration of
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and other technologies in language
education. Topics of interest on Language Learning and Technology, but
are not limited to:
- AI-Enhanced Language Teaching and Learning
- Assessment, Feedback, and Learning Analytics
- Generative AI and Academic Literacy
- AI for Professional and Specialised Communication
- Ethics, Policy, and Responsible AI in Language Education
- Teacher Development and Pedagogical Innovation with AI
Call for Papers:
We invite you to submit proposals for 20-minute oral presentations
(plus 10 minutes for Q&A). Proposals should include an abstract of
300-400 words and a short biography of the author (maximum 50 words).
Presentations can be made in English or Spanish.
Submission deadline: 30th September 2026.
Participation Fees:
- Early Bird Fee (until 30th September 2026): 80 Euros
- Regular Fee (until 30th October 2026): 100 Euros
- Attendance is free, but those who require a certificate of
attendance must pay a fee of 40 Euros (Deadline: November 30th).
- Conference publications
After the workshop, authors may submit their written papers to
dl2 at ua.es by May 31st, 2027, for publication. A selection of the
submissions received will be considered for inclusion in a monographic
volume published by Peter Lang.
