After three successful editions, join us for the next
Interdisciplinary Workshop on Language and Trauma with the theme
Kaleidoscopes: Stories of women, trauma and survivance and
co-organised together with Tiziana De Rogatis and Eva-Maria Thüne.
The workshop aims to investigate the proposed theme from different
interdisciplinary perspectives: linguistics and language studies,
narrative and literary science, ethnopsychology and ethnopsychiatry as
well as therapy. We are looking forward to contributions that address
- intersectional and feminist approaches to trauma and language(s),
- experiences from speakers in marginalized positions,
- multidimensional analysis of the intersections of trauma, language
and gender,
- …
The meeting language is mainly English, with translations for the
keynotes being provided from Italian to English or vice versa.
We have the honor to be joined for a public lecture by Carol Djeddah
(Ethnopsychotherapeut, Rome) and for a public reading by Igiaba Scego
(Author of Cassandra a Mogadiscio, Rome).
