We are pleased to announce the Call for Papers for the II
International Conference on Academic Literacies in Multilingual
Contexts (19-20 November, 2026 in Bilbao), which will bring together
researchers interested in the development of academic and disciplinary
literacies in multilingual educational settings.
The conference focuses on how learners develop the language and
literacy practices required for academic success across subjects, with
particular attention to primary and secondary education. We welcome
theoretical, empirical, and methodological contributions that explore
the relationships between language, learning, and content.
Key themes include:
- Academic and disciplinary literacies
- Multilingual education and language development
- Language across the curriculum
- Classroom discourse and practices
- Teachers and educational contexts
Submission Guidelines:
- Abstracts (max. 300 words, excluding references)
- 3–5 keywords
- Title, authors (affiliation and email), and references
Deadline for abstract submission: June 26, 2026
