Subject: Survey Participants Needed: Linguists and Engineers in NLP, MT and Generative AI
I am conducting a survey as part of a research study on the role of
linguistic and computational expertise in the development of language
technologies, specifically machine translation and generative AI. The
research explores whether a stronger interdisciplinary profile, based
on specialists trained in both theoretical linguistic knowledge and
advanced programming skills, could contribute directly to the design
and development of more linguistically aware systems with stronger
semantic and pragmatic capabilities.
Participants from linguistics, translation, computational linguistics,
computer science, software engineering, AI, NLP, machine translation
and related fields are especially welcome. The survey is anonymous and
takes approximately 5 minutes. The responses will be used only for
academic research purposes.
