Calling Levantine Arabic-English bilingual speakers!
Dear Arabic- English speaking friends,
We are excited to invite bilingual speakers of English and Arabic to
participate in a unique research study aimed at analyzing
conversational strategies in English in different cultural contexts.
This study focuses on understanding how Levantine Arabic and English
bilingual speakers interact and ask questions in various situations,
which is crucial for effective cross-cultural communication.
Study Details:
Purpose: To explore how Arabic-English bilinguals interact in everyday
scenarios.
Participation: You will be asked to participate in role-playing
exercises where you engage in conversation strategies in different
situations.
Duration: Approximately 30 minutes.
Location: Online- Teams
Why Participate?
Contribute to Research: Your participation will contribute to valuable
research in the field of linguistics and cross-cultural communication.
Enhance Communication Skills: Engaging in interactive communication
improves your conversational abilities.
Eligibility:
Female, 18 years old and up, speaker of English and a Levantine
dialect of Arabic. Born to an Arab Family or arrived by the age of 5
to U.S. We welcome participants from multiple backgrounds.
