Subject: Seeking Consultants: Acehnese Native Speakers

We are looking for native speakers of Acehnese (Malayo-Polynesian) to
participate in a project of ours investigating phonological opacity.
We will be eliciting some data from you by asking you a series of
questions about Acehnese (e.g. 'How do you say ...?' 'Does this mean
...?' 'Can I say ... to mean ...?')
Ideally, you should
- be aged 18+ (I assume we are looking for adults?)
- have Acehnese (ideally the Pidie dialect) as your first language,
i.e. the first language acquired in your childhood (native language /
L1)
- still use Acehnese regularly as one of your main languages (i.e. be
still familiar with the language)
- have no literacy or language-related difficulties
- be able to communicate in English
If you are a native speaker and willing to help with our project,
please contact Melody Wang (yuxuan_wang at fas.harvard.edu) or Canaan
Breiss (cbreiss at uchicago.edu). Thanks so much!
