Running since 2018, and so far hosted in the UK and Spain, the
Language Policy Forum (LPF) is an international conference bringing
together researchers and practitioners from around the world, working
across the broad field of Language Policy and Planning. It is
organised by the Language Policy Special Interest Group within the
British Association of Applied Linguistics (https://langpol.ac.uk), an
international network of LPP scholars and practitioners. LPF 2026 in
Madrid attracted delegates from four continents, and received an
average overall feedback score of 8.6/10 (42% response rate).
Dates: 3-4 June 2027
Location: Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Republic of
Croatia

Osijek is Croatia's fourth largest city, with direct flights to major
hub airports including Munich, Dubrovnik, and Zagreb, as well as train
