We are pleased to announce that the International Congress of the
International Society for Applied Linguistics (ISAPL) 2026 will take
place in person at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the
University of Porto (FLUP), Portugal, from June 11 to 13, 2026.
As part of the scientific programme, the ISAPL Program Committee is
now accepting, until February 25 proposals for Organized Symposia, to
be held during the Congress.
Organized symposia offer an excellent opportunity for individual
researchers or groups to present a set of closely related
presentations around a shared theme. We welcome proposals on any topic
relevant to applied linguistics, including theoretical, empirical,
interdisciplinary, and pedagogical perspectives.
Early-career researchers are particularly encouraged to submit
proposals.
All presentations within a symposium should be thematically cohesive
and clearly articulated within the session abstract. Detailed
information on the individual presentations will be requested at a
later stage.
Requirements for Submission:
Each symposium proposal should include the following information:
 - Title of the Symposium
 - Name(s), affiliation(s), and e-mail address(es) of the organizer(s)
 - Session abstract (approximately 500 words)
Detailed session information, including the names and affiliations of
individual presenters and abstracts for each presentation, will be
requested after the selection of symposia.
