We are pleased to announce that the 17th international roundtable
conference UZRT 2026, hosted by the SLA and TEFL Section of the
Department of English at the Faculty of Humanities and Social
Sciences, University of Zagreb, will take place on June 12th, 2026.
Continuing with the long-standing tradition, the conference invites
researchers and doctoral students working across the field of applied
linguistics to share their current work, exchange ideas and build
collaborations. We invite proposals from all areas of applied
linguistics.
The conference will be organized in the form of individual papers.
Each presentation will be allotted 20 minutes, followed by a 10-minute
discussion.
We welcome abstracts of no more than 300 words. Abstracts should
specify the title of the presentation, study aim, methodology, summary
of findings/results, significance or contribution of the study, and
references (if applicable; excluded from the word count). All
abstracts should be anonymized and submitted in MS Word format (.doc
or .docx), using Times New Roman, 12 pt by March 1st, 2026.

Notifications of acceptance will be sent by March 20th, 2026. The
conference fee of 40 EUR is to be paid after the notification of
acceptance.
