Description:
The research group of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona on
Expletiveness and Expressive Meaning (PID2023-150347NB-I00) invites
applications for a three-year postdoctoral fellowship of the “Beatriu
de Pinos” program, funded by the Catalan Government. This is an
extremely competitive program, so only candidates with an outstanding
research profile will be considered.
The Postdoctoral Fellow will be expected to present a detailed project
for the three-year period which integrates into the above-mentioned
funded project grant and the future project Expletiveness and
expressive meaning, both belonging to the Centre de Lingüística
Teòrica of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, where (s)he will be
hosted (http://filcat.uab.cat/clt/).
Applicants (i) must have obtained their doctoral degree between 1
January 2018 and 31 December 2023 (standard ampliation periods apply;
see the governing rules in the link at the end of the document), (ii)
must prove a two year postdoctoral experience outside Spain on the
closing date for the submission of applications, and (ii) may not have
resided in Spain for more than twelve months during the last three
years before the closing date for submission of applications.
The candidate will receive a minimum gross salary of 49800€ per year.
plus a research and training allowance of 12000€ for the three-year
period, which will be managed by the host organization.

brief expression of interest specifying the project to be developed in
the next three years (research problem, hypotheses, goals, and
connection with the research group interests), and (ii) a short CV.

Preselected candidates will be requested to provide a detailed
work-plan for the three-year period and to fill up the application
form available online by February 4th. This is a tight schedule, so
only well-grounded proposals fitting the goals of the research project
will be considered.
