Description:
VIZJA University, based in Warsaw, is one of Poland’s leading
non-public universities, recognized for the excellence of its research
and its significant contributions to contemporary scholarship. The
University also hosts VISION – the European Center for Multilingualism
in Teacher Education, an international center that brings together
scholars from around the world to advance research and innovation in
multilingualism and to promote excellence in teacher education across
diverse educational contexts in Europe and beyond.

The School of Humanities and Fine Arts invites applications for
Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Full Professor positions
in Linguistics, with a preference for candidates specializing in
Applied Linguistics in one of the following languages:
 - Italian (one position or more)
 - Spanish (one position or more)
 - English (one position or more)
Successful candidates may commence employment on 1 October 2026, 1
March 2027, or 1 October 2027, depending on mutual agreement.
The University seeks candidates with a strong research profile and a
commitment to publishing regularly in high-impact, internationally
recognized peer-reviewed journals. Faculty members are expected to
meet the University's annual research publication requirements.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
 - A PhD in Linguistics, preferably with a specialization in Applied
Linguistics.
 - Demonstrated experience in university-level teaching, as well as in
academic service and administrative responsibilities within a higher
education institution.
 - A strong record of research achievements, evidenced by scholarly
publications, including articles published in journals indexed in
Journal Citation Reports (JCR) and/or Scopus.
 - An active research profile in the academic discipline of
Linguistics.
 - A demonstrated commitment to excellence in research and teaching,
with enthusiasm, creativity, and a collaborative approach.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be expected to:
 - Depending on their language specialization, teach undergraduate
courses in the Italian Studies or Spanish Studies programme, or
undergraduate and graduate courses in the English Studies programme.
 - Conduct high-quality research in Applied Linguistics and
disseminate research findings through publications in peer-reviewed
scholarly journals.
 - Contribute actively to the academic, administrative, and
organizational activities of the Faculty.
