We are pleased to announce that the 17th International Conference on
Austronesian Linguistics will take place at Meisei University, Tokyo,
on August 1-5, 2027 (on-site only). Scholars are invited for 20-minute
talks (plus 10 minutes for discussion) on any aspect of language or
linguistics specifically related to Austronesian languages.
Call for Individual Papers:
Submissions are limited to one individual and one joint abstract per
author. Abstracts should be single-spaced, 12-point font, with 1-inch
or 2.5-cm margins on all sides. The main text must be limited to one
page, and only the data/tables/examples and references may appear on
the second page. Authors’ names should not appear (on the abstract
itself), but the abstract should include a title. Abstracts should be
submitted as pdf on the ICAL-17 submission website. Further details on
submission will be provided in the second circular of Call for Papers.
Deadline for individual abstract submission: January 31, 2027
Notification of acceptance for individual abstracts:  March 31, 2027
Call for Panels:
Theme- or area-related panels are also invited. Organizers are
responsible for recruiting their own participants. Abstracts must be
submitted by the same deadline as individual paper submissions.
Further details on submission will be provided in due course.
