The Research Workshop on Gender, Youth, and Media in Asia is organized
by the Gender and Sexuality Research Cluster (GSRC) at the Faculty of
Arts and Social Sciences, National University of Singapore.
The event will take place from 20 to 22 February 2027 and will include
a two-day conference followed by a one-day workshop.
The workshop brings together researchers working on gender and
sexuality across disciplines such as geography, linguistics,
anthropology, communications, and media studies. With a particular
focus on Asia, it will feature research across three main streams:
Media and Discourse, Youth and Society, and Borders and Boundaries. It
will also provide opportunities to explore how these areas intersect
and inform one another, aiming to advance interdisciplinary research
on gender and sexuality in relation to youth and media in Asian
contexts.
