Am Institut für Linguistik, Fachbereich Neuere Philologien, der
Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main ist zum nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt
die Stelle für eine*n
Wissenschaftliche*n Mitarbeiter*in (m/w/d)
 (E13 TV-G-U)
befristet bis zum 31.12.2027 innerhalb des Projekts A02 „Negative
adjectives in language change“ zu besetzen. Das Projekt ist Teil des
SFB 1629 ‚Negation in Language and Beyond‘ (NegLaB). Die
Eingruppierung richtet sich nach den Tätigkeitsmerkmalen des für die
Goethe-Universität geltenden Tarifvertrages (TV-G-U).
Das Aufgabengebiet des*der Stelleninhabers*in umfasst die Mitarbeit
und wissenschaftliche Dienstleistungen in der Forschung im Teilprojekt
„Negative adjectives in language change” im Rahmen des SFB 1629
„NegLaB“. Das Teilprojekt erforscht die historische Entwicklung
negativer Adjektive des Typs unaufhörlich, für die heute keine
positive Basis (*aufhörlich) mehr existiert. Im Speziellen erwarten
folgende Aufgaben den*die Stelleninhaber*in: Konzeption, Durchführung
und Auswertung von quantitativen und qualitativen Studien, Vorstellung
und Publikation von Projektergebnissen. Es wird die Möglichkeit zur
wissenschaftlichen Qualifizierung (Habilitation) und selbstbestimmter
Forschung gegeben.
Einstellungsvoraussetzungen:
 - Promotion in einem einschlägigen Fach mit linguistischem
Schwerpunkt
 - sehr gute Kenntnisse in den Sprachen Englisch (C1) und Deutsch
 - sicherer Umgang mit gängiger Software (Office)
 - Fähigkeit zum selbstständigen Arbeiten, Team- und
Kommunikationsfähigkeit
 - Nachweisbares Interesse an folgenden Themenbereichen: formale
Semantik, Sprachwandel, experimentelle Linguistik und Korpuslinguistik
 - Kenntnisse im Umgang mit korpuslinguistischen Methoden und
statistischen Programmen (z.B. Sketch Engine, R) sind von Vorteil.

At the Department of Linguistics, Faculty of Modern Languages at
Goethe University Frankfurt, the position of a
Research associate (m/f/d)
 (pay scale E13 TV-G-U)
is to be filled on the next possible date within the project A02
“Negative adjectives in language change”. The project is part of the
CRC 1629 ‚Negation in Language and Beyond‘ (NegLaB). The position will
be non-permanent until 31.12.2027. The salary grade is based on the
job characteristics of the collective agreement (TV-G-U) applicable to
Goethe University.
The responsibilities of the position include collaboration and
scientific services in research within the project “Negative
adjectives in language change”. The project explores the historical
development of negative adjectives of the type unaufhörlich
‘incessant’, for which today a positive basis (*aufhörlich) no longer
exists. Specifically, the following tasks are expected of the position
holder: design, implementation, and evaluation of quantitative and
qualitative studies, and presentation and publication of project
results. The opportunity for academic qualification (habilitation) and
independent research will be provided.
Requirements:
 - PhD in linguistics or a relevant field with a focus in linguistics
 - very good language skills in English (C1) and German
 - proficient in common software (Office)
 - ability to work independently, teamwork, and communication skills
 - demonstrable interest in the following areas: formal semantics,
language change, corpus linguistic research, psycholinguistic
experiments
 - knowledge of corpus linguistic methods and statistical programmes
(e.g. Sketch Engine, R) is advantageous.
