academic writing, and publishing research in Humanities and Social

Focus: The summer school provides intensive practical training
centered around corpus tools, corpus analysis, and corpus building.
Throughout the course, participants will learn to understand the core
principles of corpus linguistics, utilize major corpus analysis tools,
design and construct specialized corpora, apply corpus methods to
linguistic and interdisciplinary research, and critically interpret
quantitative results.
The program follows a comprehensive five-day schedule:
Day 1 covers the Foundations of Corpus Linguistics.
Day 2 focuses on Corpus Compilation and Basic Analysis.
Day 3 addresses Corpus-Based Research.
Day 4 introduces Advanced Corpus Analysis.
Day 5 concentrates on Research Writing and Publication, which includes
writing a corpus-based research article, publishing in high-quality
Scopus and Web of Science journals, understanding publication ethics
and avoiding predatory journals, as well as participant presentations
and feedback sessions.
Description:
Khazar University is pleased to invite applications for the upcoming
International Summer School in Corpus Linguistics. This five-day
hands-on training program will take place from August 20 to August 25,
2026, at the Shahdag Quba & Truskavets Hotel. The program is tailored
specifically for international Master’s and PhD students, as well as
scholars and researchers in the fields of Language, Literature, and
Linguistics.
The summer school provides intensive practical training centered
around corpus tools, corpus analysis, and corpus building. Throughout
the course, participants will learn to understand the core principles
of corpus linguistics, utilize major corpus analysis tools, design and
construct specialized corpora, apply corpus methods to linguistic and
interdisciplinary research, and critically interpret quantitative
results.

from the Institute of Language Sciences at Shanghai International
Studies University, China, and Dr. Muhammad Imran from the Educational
Research Lab at Prince Sultan University, Saudi Arabia, and Khazar
University, Azerbaijan.
The registration fee for the program is 500 USD. This fee covers five
nights of accommodation, local transportation on the Baku-Quba-Baku
route, breakfast, lunch and dinner, and daily coffee breaks. Upon
completion of the training, all participants will receive an official
Certificate of Completion issued by the Khazar Corpus Research Center.
