Subject: Online Survey: Closing and Opening Doors: Universities Restructuring Their Language Training Programs

Help us expand our data collection!
In our research project ”Closing and opening doors: Universities
restructuring their language training programs”, we investigate recent
or planned closures of university language training programs and
severe cuts of their resources at European universities. We are also
interested in the opposite process: new openings, the start of new
language training programs and allocation of additional resources for
language training. (A project description is available at:
https://doors.ugent.be/en.)
Our online survey is still open, and we hope to receive more
responses.
We are especially keen to hear from colleagues at universities in
countries that are not yet represented in our data, as we would like
to gain a better understanding of developments in higher education
across different regions.
You can find the survey here:
https://elomake.helsinki.fi/lomakkeet/132773/lomake.html
The form includes maps that show where we already have data.
At the same time, we warmly welcome all additional contributions to
our data collection, as they help us make our mapping as comprehensive
and balanced as possible.
We hope to receive plenty of new responses! The survey will remain
open until September 30, 2026.
Thank you very much for your cooperation!
