The 2027 Annual Meeting of the North American Association for the
History of the Language Sciences (NAAHoLS) will be held in conjunction
with the Linguistic Society of America (LSA) Annual Meeting in San
Francisco, CA. NAAHoLS has been meeting as a sister society of the LSA
since 1989.
As members of an LSA sister society, presenters at NAAHoLS 2027 will
register for the LSA Annual Meeting at the discounted LSA member rate
and will have access to all LSA events and benefits, as well as events
and sessions planned by other LSA sister societies.
The NAAHoLS 2027 Call for Papers and submission instructions can be
found at https://easyabs.linguistlist.org/conference/NAAHoLS2027/.
We invite papers relating to any aspect of the history of the language
sciences. Participants should plan for a 20 minute presentation,
followed by 10 minutes for questions and discussion.
The deadline for abstracts is September 1, 2026 and notification of
acceptance can be expected by September 30, 2026.
