The Crosslinguistic Perspectives on Processing and Learning Workshop
(X-PPL) brings together the growing community of researchers working
to expand the diversity of languages in the scope of psycholinguistic
and neuroscience research.
After several editions held at the University of Zurich (Switzerland),
the conference will become itinerant this year and will be hosted by
the AHAL Aquitaine Multilingual Lab (IKER-CNRS), at the University of
Pau campus in Bayonne (Basque Country, France), from September 23 to
25, 2026.

The keynote speakers of this edition are:
- Nina Kazanina (University of Geneva), presenting: “Relational
organisation advantage: perception and memory for relations in
language and vision.”
- Evan Kidd (Australian National University), presenting: “Language
acquisition in crosslinguistic perspective.”
- Julia Krebs (University of Salzburg), presenting: “Grammar in space
and time: What sign languages reveal about language modality,
processing and experience.”
Registration is now open. To register please fill in the registration
form on the website and pay the corresponding fee (standard
registration: 70€, student registation: 40€).
