A Postgraduate Workshop hosted by the Department of English, The
Chinese University of Hong Kong
You're warmly invited to a two-day in-person workshop on AI
Applications in Humanities, open to Research Postgraduate students
(MPhil and PhD) in Hong Kong. Whether you're already using digital
tools in your research or simply curious about what AI can offer — you
are most welcome to join this workshop!
Dates: 13–14 March 2026
Venue: User Education Room, G/F, University Library, CUHK

Plenary talk: "Navigating the AI Frontier in Humanities Research"
(Prof. Donald Sturgeon, Durham University)
The workshop will cover five hands-on topics:
- Working with the C-text (Chinese Text Project)
- Web scraping
- Sentiment analysis
- Image data analysis
- Keyword and semantic network analysis
How to Participate:
Submit a 300-word abstract on any AI-related topics by 6 March 2026
