Description:
Climate change represents one of the most complex challenges of our
time, requiring transdisciplinary expertise that blends scientific,
social, cultural, ethical, and communicative competences. This Summer
School is designed to foster dialogue across disciplines and explore
how climate change is addressed in different academic and social
contexts.
Over four days of insightful lectures and workshops, participants will
engage with scholars from the fields of geography, linguistics,
philosophy, sociology, psychology, and communication studies.
Activities and discussions will focus on the ways climate change
affects health, ecosystems, social inequalities, and public discourse,
as well as on the ethical and communicative challenges involved in
climate action. Participants will collaborate to develop a
climate-related case study, working throughout the program toward a
shared project for future research perspectives. This structure is
intended to encourage exchange across methods and perspectives, and
support participants in developing translating disciplinary knowledge
into collaborative research and communication practices.
The Summer School will be held in English and will take place in
person at the University of Salerno from 16 to 19 June 2026. We
welcome PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, early-career scholars,
and researchers from a range of disciplinary backgrounds who are
interested in interdisciplinary perspectives on climate change.
For questions or expressions of interest, please contact:

We warmly invite interested participants to apply and join us for an
