The International Linguistic Society is delighted to invite you to
participate in the International Conference of Morphology Research and
Applications (Morphology 2026 Online), to be held virtually from 23–25
September 2026.
Morphology is one of the fundamental components of linguistic analysis
and language function. Morphological variability shapes lexical
structure and enriches communication. Each language has its own unique
morphological system, which underpins lexical representation and
meaning. This international event promotes the study of both
theoretical morphology and experimental methodologies, with a strong
focus on real-world applications in education, healthcare, and
technology.
The conference aims to create a collaborative space for researchers,
professionals, and especially early-career scholars to present their
work, share ideas, and contribute to the ongoing development of
morphological science.
Keynote lectures will be delivered by distinguished scholars from
across the field of morphology, offering new perspectives and
broadening the scope of linguistic research and application.
Conference Themes and Scope:
Morphology 2026 welcomes research from a wide range of domains,
including but not limited to:
Core areas:
 - Inflection, derivation, and compounding
 - Morphological typology and theory
 - Lexical representation and morphological systems
Thematic areas:
 - Morphological productivity and variability
 - Interface with syntax, semantics, and phonology
 - Cross-linguistic and comparative morphology
Interdisciplinary areas:
 - Computational morphology and corpus linguistics
 - Psycholinguistic and neurolinguistic approaches

collaborative teams, and research groups. All contributions will be
peer reviewed. Presentations will be held online in oral or poster
format.
