The Department of Phonetics at Trier University is proud to host the
34th Annual Conference of the International Association for Forensic
Phonetics and Acoustics (IAFPA2026). The conference will take place at
Trier University.

 - Notification of acceptance: 15 May 2026
 - Deadline for submission of work-in-progress posters: 24 May 2026
 - Notification of acceptance for work-in-progress posters: 14 June
2026

We invite proposals for papers on topics including, but not limited to
 - Speaker/voice comparison
 - Speech and audio enhancement
 - Transcription
 - Questioned utterance analysis
 - Authentication of recordings
 - LADO (Language analysis for the determination of origin)
 - Automatic speaker recognition/comparison
 - Automatic dialect identification
 - Voice line-ups
 - Retrieval of population data
 - Exceptional case reports
 - Method validation and proficiency testing
Abstract Details:
The abstract length should not exceed two pages, including figures and
references. Please use the template provided on the conference website
and submit your abstracts via EasyAbs. The abstracts will be reviewed
using a single-blind scheme. Please include your name on the abstract
and indicate whether you prefer to present your study as a poster or a
talk.
Student Awards: There will be awards for the best student
paper/poster.
