Call for Papers:
This conference aims to support and promote research that
significantly utilizes sources in Turkish or other Turkic languages by
graduate students from fields including but not limited to literature,
history, linguistics, language education, and related fields at North
American academic institutions. It also offers a collaborative
platform for the student presenters to share their work and exchange
research ideas with their peers and the colleagues in attendance from
the field.
The AATT is dedicated to promoting and supporting the integration of
your research areas. We truly believe in the power of collaboration
and community, and we want you to be a part of it. Consider applying
and/or encouraging graduate students to apply for AATT Graduate
Student Conference. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduate
students to showcase their skills and make a meaningful impact in the
field while receiving feedback from the scholars in the field.
This year’s Graduate Student Conference will be held online on Friday,
May 8, 2026.
Call for Papers - Open
Students should submit a 250-word proposal for a paper together with
the following information:
1.    Name
2.    Current institutional affiliation (department/university)
3.    Advisor's name
4.    Educational background (undergraduate and graduate degree
programs)
5.    Current status (taking courses, preparing for exams, researching
dissertation, writing dissertation, defended/deposited dissertation)
6.    Title of dissertation (if applicable)
7.    Contact information (email, telephone number, preferred mailing
address)
The deadline for submission of proposals is March 31, 2026.
Proposals should be submitted by email to aattsecretariat at gmail.com.
Applicants will be informed of the selection committee's decision by
April 10. 2026. Registration for the conference is free and open to
all in the field.

The Assembly of Turkish American Associations (ATAA) Graduate Student
Scholarship
Deadline for applications: March 31, 2026
AATT is also pleased to announce the Assembly of Turkish American
Associations (ATAA) Graduate Student Scholarship for the American
Association of Teachers of Turkic Languages (AATT) Graduate Student
Conference. This scholarship recognizes exceptional academic work in
Turkish Studies and supports emerging scholars in the field. Up to two
graduate students will each receive a $1,000 award for their
outstanding research and contributions presented at the conference.
 Deadline for applications: March 31, 2026 (19th AATT Graduate Student
Conference Abstract Submission Deadline)
The 19th AATT Graduate Student Conference will be held online on
