We are pleased to invite you and other members of your
institution—faculty, researchers, and postgraduate students—to
participate in the 2026 GenLitCult Symposium, funded by the
Universitat of València (Equality Unit, and English and German
Department) and organised with the support of the Diversity and
Migration FORTHEM Lab.
This three-day event, held at the Universitat de València and the
Cultural Centre L'Escorxador del Cabanyal (Spain) as well as online,
explores the intersections of gender, literatures, and cultures, with
a special focus on diversity, emotions, and language learning.

- Academic Programme: Facultat de Filologia, Traducció i Comunicació
(FFTiC) & Facultat de Magisteri, Universitat de València.
- Cultural Programme: Centre Cultural L'Escorxador del Cabanyal,
València.
- Online: Zoom & FFTiC’s YouTube Channel (asynchronous
presentations).
Participation Options:
We warmly welcome contributions in two formats:
1. In-person Presentations: 15-minute talks delivered during the
academic sessions in València (Days 1 & 2).
2. Online Asynchronous Presentations: pre-recorded talks (10–15
minutes) uploaded to the FFTiC YouTube channel (Day 3).
How to Register:
Participation is free but compulsory. Interested speakers and
attendees must complete the registration form via the link below.
Please indicate your preferred mode of participation (in-person or
online) when registering. The deadline for proposal submissions is
April 30th, 2026.

Symposium Highlights:
The event will feature parallel academic sessions alongside a vibrant
cultural programme, as part of the SEMILLA Diversity Week, including
workshops on Brazilian cultural traditions, a book presentation, an
art exhibition, and live music performances (samba, forró, and
gospel).
