The call for proposals is now open for the VII International Congress
of RECoD. This edition brings together academics and researchers to
explore current debates on digital discourse in and about the Spanish
language, focusing on research advances and theoretical-methodological
reflections.
Call for Proposals:
We invite submissions that analyse digital discourse in Spanish
through various theoretical and applied perspectives. Possible
thematic areas include:
 - Discourse and image analysis, emojis, and memes
 - Online political discourse and digital press discourse
 - Social networks, digital ethnographies, and cybercultures
 - Social identities and Artificial Intelligence
 - Human-machine interaction and translation
 - Digital methodologies and the creation/management of digital
corpora
Participation Modalities:
 - Thematic Panels: Organized by research groups, featuring four
20-minute presentations.
 - Individual/Co-authored Papers: Research focused on the proposed
themes.
 - Presentation of Bibliographic News: A dedicated space for new
publications.
 - RECoD Open Meeting: A session for network members and interested
participants.
Languages: While the primary language of the conference is Spanish,
papers in English or
Portuguese are also accepted if they address digital discourse in
Spanish.
Submission Guidelines:
 - Thematic Sessions: Proposals must be sent via email
(recod.comunicaciondigital at gmail.com) by April 20, 2026. They must
include a title and a 300-word abstract for the session.
 - Individual Abstracts: A 300-word abstract with five keywords must
be submitted through the online form by April 20, 2026.
 - Notifications: Acceptance will be communicated starting April 20,
2026.
