The Department of Linguistics invites applications for a two-year
full-time position in Phonology at the rank of Instructor I,
commencing July 1 2026, or on a mutually agreed upon date. Salary will
be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
The Department seeks a scholar with a commitment to excellence in
teaching.  A Ph.D in Linguistics is required.  Duties will include
undergraduate and graduate teaching and service-related activities.
The successful candidate will have a track record of outstanding
teaching contributions and course development and will exhibit
evidence of the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Candidates must be able to teach Phonology courses at the
undergraduate and graduate levels as well as other Linguistics courses
currently offered by the Department of Linguistics, based on
Department needs and the candidate’s expertise. All teaching will take
place in person on campus.
The Department currently has 7.5 full time tenured and tenure track
faculty members and offers a full range of both undergraduate and
graduate programs in Linguistics. Further information about the
