The field of Languages for Specific Purposes (LSP) is undergoing a
profound transformation. Shifting workplace dynamics, technological
leaps, and the rise of generative AI are driving this change, bringing
us to a pivotal crossroads in the way we teach and learn professional
languages. We invite researchers, practitioners, and educators to
submit proposals for oral presentations and workshops. To ensure broad
accessibility, the symposium will be held in two formats: on-site
participation at our Tallinn campus and virtual presentations via a
digital platform.
Thematic tracks:
 - LSP theory and practice: contemporary pedagogical approaches,
methodology, and the evolving concepts of LSP in higher education.
 - Terminology development: the role of specialized terminological
bases, digital glossaries, and the evolution of professional
terminology.
 - LSP in security and public service: specific challenges in teaching
languages for law enforcement, internal security, and emergency
services.
 - Assessment in flux: new methods for evaluating professional
communicative competence in the digital age.
 - AI in LSP: navigating the impact of LLMs and AI tools on
specialized translation and professional language acquisition.

workforce.
