We are pleased to invite you all to the II Encontro Internacional de
Historiografia Linguística (EIHL) e o II Encontro de Gramaticografia
Ibero-americana (EGrIa). The events are held in an integrated manner
and are the result of a fruitful partnership between the Documentation
Center in Linguistic Historiography (CEDOCH/USP), the Center for
Linguistic Norm Studies (NormaLi/UFU & UFC), the Languages and
Histories Research Group (UFC), and the Linguistic Historiography
Research Group (UBA), with the support of three graduate programs in
language studies (USP, UFU, and UFC).
In this second edition, the joint event will take place at the
Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC), in Fortaleza, from August 31 to
September 3, 2027.
The II EIHL and II EGRIA aim to bring together studies that describe,
analyze, and problematize the production of linguistic knowledge
throughout the centuries, with a primary focus on the Ibero-American
context, without excluding other geographical scopes. The objective is
to promote and disseminate research on these metalinguistic
traditions, identifying convergences and divergences in texts created
by and for Ibero-American peoples, as well as deepening the
theoretical and methodological discussions within linguistic
historiography.
The event is aimed at undergraduate and graduate students,
primary/secondary and higher education teachers, as well as
researchers from different regions of Brazil and abroad. The program
will include keynotes by international guests, thematic panel
discussions, paper presentations, poster sessions, and cultural
activities.
Submission of Proposals:
Those interested in participating in the paper presentation and poster
sessions must submit their proposals by March 15, 2027, via the form
available on the official event website:
