Abstract:

This volume contains contributions on sociolinguistics that stress the
variety of ways in which language is intertwined with the social
aspect of human existence. It also addresses translation studies, as
well as foreign language teaching and learning, and the possibilities
for improving these fields of linguistic endeavour. The volume
concludes with studies in formal linguistics, focusing primarily on
morphology and phonetics. As a result, the volume offers a
comprehensive collection of texts covering the entire spectrum from
applied to general approaches to linguistics.

Linguistic Field(s): Sociolinguistics
                     Translation
