We are pleased to announce that the 2026 Annual Research Forum of the
Linguistic Society of Hong Kong (ARF2026) will feature a special
session on sign linguistics. The Forum will be held on December 6,
2026 (Sunday). Authors working on sign language phonology, syntax,
semantics, sociolinguistics, acquisition, or related topics are warmly
invited to submit their abstracts.
Date: December 6, 2026 (Sunday)
Venue: MU Tower, located in Hunghom
Abstract submission deadline: October 30, 2026 (Friday)
Every paper will be allotted 20 minutes for an oral presentation,
followed by discussion. Please note that a paper presenter should be
an LSHK member. You may apply for the LSHK membership or renew yours
at https://lshk.org/membership/.
Abstract Submission:
Each member is entitled to one single-author presentation and one
joint presentation. Abstracts may be written in either Chinese or
English. Each submission should be limited to one A4 page, including
references and examples, and should use a 12-point font with 1-inch
margins. Submissions should be saved in both DOC/DOCX and PDF formats.
Do not include your name or affiliation in the abstract.
Please submit your abstracts via the CMT system:
https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/LSHKARF2026. When submitting your
abstract via the CMT system, please select the “Sign Linguistics”
subject area.
The submission deadline is October 30, 2026 (Friday). All submissions
will undergo anonymous review.
