Call for Papers:
For this eighth edition of the EDiSo symposium in 2027, we encourage
researchers to submit work that, on the one hand, contributes to an
understanding of the memory emerging from the linguistic-discursive
practices that permeate societies in this second half of the 21st
century and, on the other, counters the processes of memory erasure
that put social progress and shared values at risk.
In this 2nd circular, we provide details on the activities planned for
the 8th EDiSo Symposium. These include: two roundtables centered on
the symposium’s theme—Linguistic-Discursive (De)memorization—as well
as one workshop, five closed panels, and two open panels. Proposals
may address research related to the thematic focus of the 2027
Symposium or other areas of interest within the field of discourse and
society (EDiSo).
The call for paper proposals (individual or within an open panel) is
now open.
Submission Deadline: November 30, 2026
