Help us understand how speech comprehension works in audiovisual
settings!
For an online research experiment, we are looking for participants
with the following profile:
- UK-based, native speakers of English
- between ages 18-40
- Iberian Spanish as a second language, with proficiency levels of B1,
B2 or C1
In this experiment, participants will:
- Watch and listen to short videos of a native speaker producing a
sentence
- Pick the pronoun that fits best as the subject of the sentence (yo
or ella)
Participants need:
- A PC or laptop
- Headphones or earbuds
- Quiet surroundings
The experiment starts with a 5-minute screener to test the
participant's eligibility for the study. The whole experiment,
including screener, takes approximately 30 minutes. Participants may
enter their email address to receive a £5 Amazon gift card (NB: these
gift cards are usable in the UK only!). Experiment data are fully
anonymous, and email addresses will be immediately deleted once data
collection is complete. The study is approved by the Ethics Assessment
Committee Humanities of Radboud University.
